Lighting manufacturer Luxonic is expanding its Basingstoke factory in response to increasing customer demand for LEDs.
Over the next few months the Priestley Road plant will grow by 30 per cent with the installation of a mezzanine assembly and testing area for LED luminaires.
"The changes we are putting into place will give us a massive efficiency gain and more capacity to meet customer demand both for LED and fluorescent luminaires," explained production director Alan Ayres.
Luxonic, which employs more than 100 people, says almost all of its luminaires are in the process of being re-designed to accommodate LED technology.
