China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest steelmaker in Taiwan has decided to continue its promotion of low-priced wire rod until next February in order to help Taiwanese fasteners makers to receive more orders from oversea market.
The current promotion price for CSC's wire rod is NT$19,500/ton in this December but this promotion price is only suitable for two specific standard products and buyers have to purchase wire rod products from Dragon Steel.
CSC only received around 380,000 tons of orders from its steel bars and wire rods in the fourth quarter of this year.
However, CSC expected that the promotion may help the firm to receive over than 400,000 tons of orders in the first quarter in next year.
