British baking firm Warburtons is set to stop the sale of its products Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, due to high transportation costs.

In 2011, the company had launched its lines such as white Toastie loaf, brown bread and crumpets at Tesco stores in Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.

However, higher than expected transportation costs have led the company to decide on halting the sales. The company was also affected by the requirement to change the recipes to help extend the shelf life of the products, reported Marketingmagazine.co.uk.

Warburtons still is seeking to expand its international presence. In August 2012, it launched its white, wholemeal, and seeded loaves in France. The products are sold in 270 branches of French retailer Monoprix.
